Total Solar Eclipse (Chinese: 日全食) 🇺🇸
In April 2024, I witnessed an unforgettable eclipse in Lorain, Ohio—a total solar eclipse, when the moon briefly blocks out the sun and the world suddenly turns to darkness in the middle of the day. One of the most fascinating moments was watching the birds: as the sky dimmed, they began flying back to their nests, as if night had truly fallen. But as the light returned, so did they—drawn out again by their instinctual rhythm.
It made me wonder: while birds follow their natural clock, what is our role in moments like this? Maybe it’s to pause, to notice, to be awed. To remember how small we are, and how lucky we are to witness such wonders.
